John Calvin Moore (October 13, 1900 – January 15, 1982) was an American football coach.[1] He was the fourth head football at North Texas Agricultural College—now known as the University of Texas at Arlington—serving for eight seasons, from 1925 to 1932, and compiling a record of 41–29–3.[2] He was also athletic director during the same period. The school discontinued its football team after completion of the 1985 season.[3]
He attended Northside High School and North Texas State University. From 1934 to 1942, he was clerk in Tarrant County, Texas. He also served as a substitute physical education teacher.[1]
He was the host of Bewely Barndance and Hoffman Hayloft Party, which aired in the early days of KXAS-TV in Fort Worth.[1]
